Default $105 tickets/smoked or clear lens plate covers

FYI:

My brother just called me from his work (near Phillips/Hartley Rd.) and said that there was a cop walking through the parking lot of his work giving people warnings for license plate covers. You know the smoked or clear ones that alot of us use for vanity plates? Apparently it all has to do with this whole red light camera deal. $105 fine!!!!

ya, they conceal the numbers when the camera tries to take a picture of your plate it creates a glare from the flash, as well as at night when a cop shines a spotlight on it. Technically you're not supposed to have them, there's a law loosely worded as "Obstruction Of Plate", so you can have anything that surrounds the plate, but nothing obstructing the numbers.

Yup I was once told by a cop even the clear ones are illegal. But its one of those things cops don't enforce. If this cop is walking around lots tells me he is bored or a rookie.

Yup, I'm waiting for the newbie or the cop having a bad day to write me my (hopefully) warning about either window tint, or my tail lights. Had a JSO behind me off Monument a couple days ago, I turned into a parking lot and he followed me in but never pulled me over. Thought for sure he'd gripe about my tail lights. I don't think Atlantic Beach Cops would hesitate (I avoid that area lol) but it seems JSO and FHP would rather get you for speeding or something rather than for illegal tint. Just don't give them a reason to pull you over is how I see it. But the cop walking the parking lot, definitely a rookie or something.

All it takes is a email or a call to an agency to get the ball rolling and it is done.

I know that some one has mention to me about License Plate spray so I have Google and this is what I have run in to,

If anyone is planing to order some let me know I do not think that will take 1 can to spray one or 2 plates.

Mythbusters did an episode for all these plate blocking things a while ago and none of the actually worked. Dont know if this is a NEW one or whatever, but just thought I'd give you a heads up.
