Default Audio UPGRADE

I'm looking to upgrade my speaker system any ideas on where to who? I'm more interested in making the system louder not so much bass. I'm considering one 12, and a couple 6x9's.

i have gone to best buy...in the past and they are very reasonable. my oldest daughter had a caddy and they did a very good job install 12 inch woofer with a good box that fit in her trunk easily with the amp mounted next to the speacker all the wire hinding away nice. price range depends on your taste...good luck.

Best Buy does do a decent job, they don't hack the harness' like they used too. If you're just wanting 6x9's you can do the install very easily yourself as long as you're comfortable taking the door panel off. If you want an aftermarket sub (I may be wrong) you might have to get an aftermarket head unit, I don't think the factory stereo has the required inputs in the back to support it. A nice set of 3 way 6x9 Kickers or Rockford Fosgates would be a nice improvement and won't break the bank like a pair of Focals would.

If you aren't doing it yourself, I would choose a local audio shop instead of a Best Buy. I would also upgrade to 6 1/2" components instead of 6X9s. They will sound a lot better. If you aren't wanting to change the head unit, several companies make processors to integrate w/ it.

I've heard good and bad about Daddy O's but the closet one is closed so where is a good audio shop? I've checked out one on Atlantic near regency but no one was willing to help me out while I was there. I need professionals lol!

I have a spot for you. It's a little hole in the wall but they are cool people ..
They never installed audio for me because I had a friend do it, but I purchased audio from them . They also did my tinted windows.
